It was last Thursday in Baden, close to Zurich (Switzerland). More than 200 SAS-interested people participated. As last year, FinScore had a stand where we presented the company and its business (data quality, data mining, reporting). We put a particular focus on our new product FinWEB Customer Online Targeting since it is SAS-based.
The were several presentations given in parallel in four rooms:
- Technology update: BI & Analytics
- Customer Intelligence
- Risk Management
- Performance Management
I attended two interesting presentations. The first one, “Social Media Analytics” was explaining how social media and thus text mining are important nowadays. It was given by Karsten Winkler, from SAS Germany. The second one “Productivity goodies for SAS programmers” was presenting some of the new functionalities of SAS Enterprise Guide 4.3 such as syntax suggestion, auto-completion and contextual help.
Since SAS wants the next forum to be in spring, it will take place in 2012. Thus, no SAS Forum Switzerland next year, but according to the SAS team, there will be plenty of other events. Let’s see…
