Web Analytics is a different discipline.

In most cases, Web Analytics focuses on events that happen at a moment in time --- what percentage of customers abandon a shopping cart, or leave a landing page without going further, or convert after going down a certain path --- as examples.

Multichannel Forensics is concerned about how customers migrate and evolve over time. Multichannel Forensics looks to integrate elements of Web Analytics with Business Intelligence and Simulations.
